Driving directions to and trail map for Salt Lick Point Land and Water Reserve
The parking area for Salt Lick Point is located off of Bluff Road, near old-town Valmeyer. From Route 3 in Waterloo, take Highway 156 west, all the way down Dennis Hollow. Once in original Valmeyer, watch for the sign for “Bluff Road North” and turn north. Proceed the short distance to the Rock City complex and turn onto that roadway. The parking area is on the left. The five miles of trails offer easy to strenuous hiking conditions. The reserve is open daily dawn to dusk for passive recreation; hikers must stay on the trails.
